In 1972, Stockdale Country Club held the Grand Opening of its Tennis Facility and recognizing the need has worked to improve and expand to meet the tennis expectations of its members. In 1998, Stockdale added two grass courts, bringing to the San Joaquin Valley the only ones of their kind. Stockdale's excellent tennis facilities and outstanding professional staff have created a Tennis Facility without equal. We have morning, afternoon and evening leagues, as well as competitive leagues for juniors. For those looking for an activity that is less physically demanding, BOCCE BALL is a sport that requires skill and strategy. There is a summer league and competitive events that accommodate players of all ages. The Tennis Pavilion: COURTS: Seven lighted hard courts; Two grass courts (the only grass courts in the San Joaquin Valley); Computerized, remote control ball machine Enclosed ball wall; Shade canopies with misting systems; TENNIS PRO SHOP: Carries all tennis essentials; Stringing services; HOURS: Monday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday – Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. DRESS CODE /TENNIS ATTIRE: Players may wear approved tennis attire of any color. Players must wear approved rubber-soled tennis shoes (no jogging shoes). Male players must wear shirts with at least a quarter length of sleeve at all times. Tank tops for men are prohibited. Hank is a past ATP Tour Champion; three times US Open Sr. Singles Champion, Wimbledon Sr. Men's Doubles Champion, and still playing in some Sr. Tour events. JUNIOR TENNIS Stockdale Country Club's Junior Development Program is dedicated to meeting the instructional and recreational needs of every player. Stockdale offers all levels of programming from beginner to tournament training. Stockdale's teaching staff and programming is one of the finest you will find anywhere in the nation.
